Abstract

|
Gamma interferon production was induced by the treatment with 12-0-tertradecanoyl
phorbol -13-acetate(TPA) or mezerein(MZR) in lymphocytes from peripheral blood,
lymphocytes from plasmapheres is plasma, lymphocytes from plateletpheris plasma,
leukocytes from plasmapheresis plasma or leukocytes from plateletpheresis plasma.
The Purification process for gamma interferon consisted of sequential
chromagraphicphic separations on controlled -pore glass, concanavalin A -Sepharose and
Bio-Gel P-200. This purification process resulted in an increase of specific activity
30-40 fold.
